Joro Watch is a monitoring program to collect data and better understand the current spread and distribution of Joro spiders.

Win fame and glory (plus exclusive stickers!) by helping us find how Joros are spreading this season. Kick off the 4th annual Joro Spider Spotting {and Photo} Contest by reporting and putting your best photo skills to the test! Reports entered into our database during the week of October 6-12 are part of the contest.
Mark your calendar for the 5th Annual Joro Spider Spotting Contest set for Monday, October 5, 12:00 a.m. – Sunday, October 11, 11:59 p.m. Only reports entered into our database during this time will be counted for the contest.
Only reports submitted to our database during this time are counted for the contest. Spot those spiders, snap those photos, and get your reports in!
Submit a Joro Spider report on on this website, at eddmaps.org, or via the EDDMapS app. Attach clear, well-focused photos of the spider. All verified reports will be considered for both contests.
